(The Straits Times) - BUSINESSMAN Zamil Ibrahim is still waiting for someone who can find a Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim 'lookalike' to take up the offer of a vintage Rolls Royce and RM10,000 (S$4,080).
Mr Zamil, who is the Kedah Kita chief, had made the offer on Friday in connection with the sex video implicating the PKR adviser. 'The Rolls Silver 111 6700cc is mine, and the cash offer is made by someone who wants to remain anonymous.

'Anwar has been saying he was told the man looked like him but that he (Anwar) did not have a belly,' he said. Datuk T, comprising businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik, and former Perkasa treasurer Datuk Shuaib Lazim, had on March 21 exposed the existence of a video of a man resembling Anwar having sex with a woman believed to be a foreign prostitute.

Datuk T Sex Scandal, Rolls Royce offer extended by Zamil Ibrahim

PETALING JAYA: A businessman who had offered his vintage Rolls Royce to anyone who could find a man resembling Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended the search deadline to July 10.

Businessman Zamil Ibrahim, who had also offered RM10,000, said no one had come forward to claim the car when the first deadline expired on Friday.

“Due to popular demand, I am extending the deadline. Many have also requested for the deadline to be extended, as they need more time to search for someone who looks like the famous Opposition leader,” he said.

Zamil, who is also the Kedah Kita chief, made the offer on May 20.

“At this point it is not presumptuous to conclude there is no individual who looks exactly like Anwar. If there is, I am sure people here would have spotted him. We also accept any Anwar look-alike residing in other countries,” he said.

Zamil said Anwar could clear his good name if someone who looks like him could be found following the emergence of a sex video showing a man resembling him.

On March 21, Datuk T comprising businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, former Malacca Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik, and former Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuib Lazim exposed the existence of the sex video.

Anwar had lodged a police report claiming he was not the man in the video.

Datuk T Sex Video - Another Sex Video clip on YouTube, Anwar's family says it's not him

PETALING JAYA: Another short video clip implicating Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was posted on YouTube and again became the talk of the town.

The clip is believed to be part of the sex video that was shown to selected members of the media last month.

One part of the sex video first appeared early this month on YouTube and went viral.

Some scenes from the latest clip were also printed as posters and stacks of them were left at a bus stop in Jalan Genting Klang. The posters came with captions in Bahasa Malaysia.

Although the YouTube posting was removed yesterday evening, it had appeared on several blogs by then.

While Anwar's family reiterated that it was not him in the clip, PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution insisted that the police were to blame for the release of the latest clip.

Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, a member of the Datuk T trio who exposed the sex video, gave his DNA sample to Bukit Aman in relation to the sex video.

Datuk T Sex Video - Sex video: 2 police reports filed against Rahim Tamby Chik, Shazryl Eskay, Shuib Lazim

Sex video: 2 police reports filed against Rahim Tamby Chik, Shazryl Eskay, Shuib Lazim

KUALA LUMPUR: Two police reports were lodged against the three individuals who said they were responsible for showing a sex video implicating opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The reports claimed the trio had broken the law by possessing and distributing pornographic material under Section 292 of the Penal Code and Section 5 of the Censorship Act.

The reports were lodged by Kelana Jaya MP Loh Gwo Burne and a representative of the Selective Prosecution Movement (GAPET), a non-governmental organization.

In both reports, they urged the police to arrest Tan Sri Rahim Tamby Chik, Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and Datuk Shuib Lazim and investigate the matter thoroughly.

In the report, Loh also said the trio had threatened Anwar and his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ahmad saying the video would be made public if they did not step down.

Gapet representative, Khairul Anuar Othman said they want police and Internal Security Ministry to investigate the matter without the involvement of Umno and Perkasa.

“This is because their men are seen in the 22 minutes footage,” he stressed.

Loh and Khairul, accompanied by Kapar MP, S. Manickavasagam and Batu MP, Tian Chua lodged the reports at Dang Wangi District police headquarters on Thursday.

In a press conference held in a hotel in Jalan Pinang here on Wednesday, Rahim had admitted that he, Eskay and Shuib are responsible for screening the sex video to the media in Carcosa Seri Negara on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Manickavasagam said there was no need to form Royal Commission to investigate the matter as he was confident police could investigate it thoroughly.

KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Rahim Tamby Chik, Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and Datuk Shuib Lazim have been unmasked as the mysterious Datuk T in the sex video scandal that has hogged the headlines since Tuesday.

They said the moniker stood for “Datuk Trio”, or Three Datuks, as they all had the title, and demanded that an all-party royal commission of inquiry be set up to investigate their claim that the video footage was genuine.

Rahim and Eskay came out in the open after Sungai Petani MP Datuk Johari Abdul, who is Shuib’s nephew, exposed the trio’s identity at a press conference and said they had shown him the video at another hotel here.

Sg Petani MP 'identifies' two men behind sex video

PETALING JAYA: PKR has gone on the offensive and identified two men as being behind the Datuk T sex video that has hogged the headlines the past few days.

Sungai Petani MP Datuk Johari Abdul claimed on Wednesday that the two were a former top Barisan Nasional state leader and a businessman.

He also told a press conference at the PKR headquarters here that “no way Anwar (Ibrahim) was the man in the video”.

Johari said he watched the video on Monday afternoon at Flamingo Hotel here together with the two men.

He alleged he was invited to view the video as a move to get him and five other PKR MPs to quit the party.

“I believe they (the two men) could be the ones behind the video," he added.

When Doc in the House had ‘AIDS’

Fascinating stories about Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, from a man who was close to both of them.

IT’S amazing that when it comes to politics in Malaysia, things either revolve around the same old issues or the same old personalities.

Like these two who still continue to make the headlines – Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Over the past few days, I have been trying unsuccessfully to get a copy of the former Prime Minister’s memoirs, A Doctor in the House, which has generated much interest since its launch more than two weeks ago.

Having missed out on the deadline for the collective buying discount offer at the office, the last hunt was at Borders in Tropicana City Mall in Petaling Jaya on Monday, only to find out that the latest batch of copies had just been sold out.

Love him or loathe him but this is one person whom Malaysians find hard to ignore. The PM for 22 years may have stepped down eight years ago but there’s no waning of his stature or influence among many, just as there seems no end to aversion and scorn from others.

The other character who seems to be forever making the news is of course Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, a former blue-eyed boy of Dr Mahathir, who rose through his patronage to occupy the second most important position in the country before being unceremoniously sacked and jailed in 1998 on sodomy and corruption charges.

After a long hiatus, poster-size pictures of him made the front pages on Tuesday, next to headlines denying that he was the man in a shocker of a sex video with a hooker, unveiled to selected media representatives a day earlier.

Anwar has since lodged a police report citing criminal intimidation and defamation against Datuk T who exposed the video, and the police have begun probing the case under the law pertaining to possession and distribution of pornographic material.

(Datuk T stands for Datuk Trio or Three Datuks, who have been identified as Tan Sri Rahim Tamby Chik, Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and Datuk Shuib Lazim).

Datuk T, meanwhile, had said he would surrender the footage to an independent public commission and urged the media fraternity and non-government organisations to take the lead in setting one up.

As some of these developments were taking place on Tuesday, I was having a chat and coffee with Tan Sri Sanusi Junid, a man whose life has been intertwined with that of Dr Mahathir and Anwar and one who knows a lot about both of them.
